Project Lifesaver Makes a Difference
Halifax SAR hold training exercise on 25 January 2020 looking for a missing person who was wearing a Project Lifesaver transmitter. The missing person was located within 30 mins of dispatching 3 teams of Electronic Search Specialist.
Six Electronic Search Specialists, including three Department of Natural Resources (DNR) pilots and a DNR engineer were provided the Air Certification and Air Instructor training between August 31st and September 2nd 2015 by Tommy Carter from Project Lifesaver International.
As of September 2017, there are currently no Air Certification or Air Instructors valid in the Project Lifesaver Association of Nova Scotia program.
